Do You Really Love Your Child?

"Of course I love my kid!” most parents insist.

However, I frequently see and work with parents who are ambivalent - wishy washy - about setting rules and boundaries for their children. Why? One reason is they fret that their “kids will hate them." Instead of hating their parents, children actually respect and admire those who take the time to love them through rules, boundaries, and limitations.

I've often said, anyone can discipline your child without love but, you cannot really love your child without disciplining him/her.
