Wow, it's autumn already; schools are back in session, Labor Day's over, and many parents are thinking of football, parent/teacher conferences, fall activities, and school dances.

Parents often call my office asking for advice on raising thoughtful, responsible, and happy kids. I've not yet received the call asking how to raise a delinquent. But I see parents who are doing it.

You may be raising a delinquent if you...

* Satisfy his every craving for food, drink, and comfort. See that his every sensual desire is gratified.

* Let him read any printed material and listen to any music he can get his hands on. Be careful that your silverware and drinking glasses are sterile, but let your child's mind feast on garbage.

Hmm, how are you doing in daily discipline? Got a comment?
